When I was about six years old my Uncle Jim bought me a pocket knife. It was one of those cheap, has everything on it kind of knives. You know, bottle opener, saw, big & little blades, & leather punch. I liked it, then he pulled out another pocket knife with only one blade. It was cool! He said my mother wouldn't let me have that one.

When he left the next day, I found that knife stuck on my door post. I've been hooked on neat blades ever since.

In 1982 I moved to Newcastle, Wyoming, "The Western Gateway to the Black Hills", while working at a power plant I rekindled my fascination with knives, big & little. I found that broken files, pipe flanges, even angle iron could be shaped into sabers, scimitars, daggers, and bowies. Like my uncle I gave them all away.

When Making my knives, big & little, I try to shape each one with the same feeling I had for them as a kid. At the same time I want there to be quality & uniqueness to them. To me each one is a work of art, a part of my heart, and sometimes a little piece of me, too!!!!
